OEMTA Annual Awards & Recognition Program
During the annual Medic Update educational conference the Oklahoma EMT Association recognizes deserving EMS personnel at the Awards and Recognition Banquet. Medics, administrators, dispatchers, ambulance services and EMS educators from across our state are featured guests during this event, where winners are presented with a unique trophy that symbolizes this special honor.
Must I be an OEMTA member to nominate or receive an award?
You need not be a member of OEMTA to nominate an individual or service and award winners are not selected on the basis of membership in OEMTA but rather are evaluated individually based on nomination information received. You are encouraged to nominate multiple individuals and/or services that you feel are deserving of this statewide honor.
What should I include in my nomination?
Please include the following in your nomination: full name of individual or service (and a telephone number for the individual or service so that we may invite the nominee to attend our awards event); a history of participation in Oklahoma EMS; current service, agency, or educational site with whom the nominee is affiliated; any special civic/community volunteer positions held; and most important – tell us WHY this particular person or service demonstrates a level of quality and commitment that causes you to seek recognition for them!
What individuals or groups may I nominate?
The OEMTA encourages nominations for the following categories:
Emergency Medical Responder
Emergency Medical Response Agency
Basic EMT
Basic EMS Service
Advanced EMT (EMT-I & Paramedic)
Advanced EMS Service
Administrator
EMS Instructor
Dispatcher
Beverly Doyle Award for EMS Leadership
We encourage nominations throughout the year, and nominations are accepted until the opening of Medic Update each year.
Please help us to learn about and recognize outstanding Oklahoma EMS providers!!!!
