- To Promote and encourage the national and state acceptance of a uniform in standard of recognition for the skills and abilities of the EMT.
- To Promote the professional status of the EMT.
- To foster, encourage, and promote the constant upgrading of skills, abilities, qualifications and educational requirements of the EMT.
- To engage in sponsorship and initiation of instructional courses and schools, for the purpose of increasing the knowledge and efficiency of the EMT.
- To Encourage the development of Emergency Medical Services at all levels in order to better serve our communities and the medical profession.
- To improve the public welfare and to educate the general public of the profession of Emergency Medical Service.
