Mr. Scott Bolleter, known as Scotty to his friends, is a well respected Flight Paramedic and internationallyrecognized lecturer. Scotty is perhaps best known in emergency medicine for his inspiring talks, moving poetry and from the heart speaking style. He is currently the Director of Education for San Antonio AirLIFE focusingon education, process improvement and research. You may recognize Scotty as an original member of the Vidacare® (EZ-IO®/OnControl®)team where his name appears on eighteen patents in emergent, hematology, oncology and vertebral access related medical devices. At Vidacare, Scotty held the director of education & research associate position working to define, improve and advance the science of intraosseous access and procedural efficacy.
With over twenty-five years of EMS,his resume includes the additional past positions of Assistant EMS Program Director and faculty for Victoria College, Training Officer and Supervisor for Harlingen Community Emergency Care Foundation, as well as EMT & Paramedic for Aransas CountyEMS. During Scotty’s time caring for patients,lecturing and in the laboratory he has built his reputation on compassionatecare and the advancement of emergency medicine. His work has literally taken him across North America and around the world - which is evidenced by an extensive list of publications; presentations and accomplishments found in magazines, journals, textbooks and videos.Scotty has received countless awards inhis career - most notably - the 2000 EMS Person of the Year from the State ofT exas. The 1999 Humanitarian Award for work in Haiti from The EMS Associatesof Utah and - 1991 recognition from the Texas Commissioner of Health for hiswork in pediatric emergency medicine.
